Melissa is a mom of two wild children with a passion for styling hair and connecting with clients. She was born in South Carolina and moved to central Maine in 2004. Even though she wasn’t born in Maine, she can at least say she was raised here!
Melissa started working in the hair industry in 2015 as a receptionist. In 2016, she decided to begin an apprenticeship to start hands on, to develop a relationship with clients and to eventually acquire her cosmetology license. She became fully licensed in 2018, and has been in love with the work she does ever since.
Melissa specializes in matching and maintaining colors and cuts, and absolutely loves incorporating new styles and colors to give clients a fresh, new look, drastic or subtle. Most of all, she values the connections she has with clients. In fact, this is her favorite part of being a hairstylist! The client-stylist connection is so important to creating a look special for you, and it’s a key factor in enjoying each and every appointment you have with her.
